You can make multiple payments on Venmo, but you must first have a list of subject IDs and amounts. You open Venmo and tap Pay/Request. Search for the first participant by name, username, phone number, or email. Tap the + next to that person’s name to add more recipients. Add the rest of the participants you want to pay. Tap Next. Then, enter the amount for each person. Add a payment note, e.g. “Subject payment” and you can also choose public or private record. Then tap Pay and all payments will go out at once with the same note/privacy status. Saves a little time.
In Zelle, you also need to have subject info uploaded to your Zelle account. The trick is to tag all the subjects in a session at once using the "Memo" field (this is the Zelle business account version) (e.g., Market - Session 1). This is good for your final reconciliation when you download your bank statement. After your subjects are tagged, you can easily add the different payments. On the Send Money search box, type your memo, Market – Session 1. The list will instantly filter to show only your subjects. Then enter the payment amounts for each and click send. Again, this saves a little time.
To upload a csv file with payment amounts, you need Zelle Disbursements which is an enterprise-level version of Zelle.
